Not a grow problem but a bud problem

    I’m not sure where to post but this feels like the right place. I don’t grow just smoke. I got this from a buddy who grows outdoor. Is this mold? I hoping it’s a no…

    the pictures aren't very clear so its hard to tell. I'll speculate and say that the fan leaves that I see in one of the pictures don't look fully dry....if they were, they would have crumbled in the bag is my guess.

    Is the bud squishy or rock hard firm? squishy would be another sign of improper drying....

    In the end...find a loupe and check for "mold hairs" in the bud...

    I don't think it's mold, it looks like the leaves show signs or deficiency or ph being off during the grow. That being said I definitely agree it looks a little gnarly. If you have any concerns of mold, I believe making edibles comes with less risk than smoking or vaping it

    Maybe a couple suspicious spots in that first pic. The smell might tell. If it smells like a wet basement, its probably got mold.
