Northern lights issue

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by CCG465, Jan 31, 2019.

  1. day 35 of flowering and I notice some spots on one leaf. For about a week or two, I noticed my top leaves were getting lighter in green than the bottom was, so I raised my lights. Now it seems some of the tips are showing nute burn. Would one of my fellow growers be able to help out on my second grow?

Meizhi 300 w r about 11 from the canopy. (My grow tent doesn’t really allow for a larger distance).
Supplemental 2 CFL ~80w all together.
    Temp between 75-85
Humidity is extremely low. I’m trying my best but sometimes in the day it’ll be about 30-35, but lately because of the cold it’s been 16. Some nights humidity goes up to 40-50 so I open my tent a little.
No ph water. I just fill up a jug and let it sit in the tent for a few days until next water. Being fed fox farm every other watering with molasses most waterings.

    Cheers and thanks in advance!!!

  2. If your new growth is lighter than the lower canopy, i would lean towards a Mag deficiency, give her a table spoon epsom salt per gal water next time.

  3. I’ll try that out. Thanks for the advice. Does it matter that it started out just as dark green but then got lighter?

  4. That's what happens mate - As it get deficient, it gets lighter.
I wouldn't overly worry though mate, as your plant will get lighter during later flower stages....
Little Epsom salt wont hurt tho mate!
    Good luck pal.

  6. This late in flower I would be REALLY careful about feeding anymore but that's just me.
It def is an early fade and definitely needed more N from the signs of it. Take note of it and change it next run. Feeding now at 5 weeks on what looks to be a strain that is pretty close to being done. Also this plant looks really far along imo. Maybe it is just the N not being there but, the cannibalization and ripening makes me think its farther then day 35 I would check the dates again and make sure they are on point ! Good luck ! - Bigbudz

Do NOT feed ur plants more N now... You are 5 weeks into flower! You have missed ur window! This is done before the stretch....IMO u still have at least 4 more weeks of flower.. Epsom salts now is fine now and recomended. Low dose. See her through the next 2 weeks, then cut the feeds ! Job done.

  8. This was said. "Be REALLY careful" ie; don't do it. Feeding at all past week five will compromise flavor profile for and bud taste sure. TAKE NOTE and correct next run is what I said. Plants have decided on life by the time they are budding hard trying to fix it to late will ruin your cannabis.
Why use salts if you are trying to get rid of them by harvest time? Only thing that should given to those plants is plain water maybe some molasses, sugar water etc. cheers - Bigbudz

  9. Any deficiency this time of the plants life is worth treating mate, why keep her stressed?? You said she's almost done?... @ 5weeks??? I'm sorry but that's bad advice.... OP has 5 weeks left of flower IMO, which is more than enough time to treat a deficiency mate.... 2 weeks for a good flush is more than enough time!

  10. I feel like these are further along than what OP said as well but there’s no real way to tell.

  11. I felt this way as well they seem a little farther along.
Nah treating a deficiency late in flower will deffinatly screw your weeds taste up. You're going back on what you said. Why would you not feed N and feed Iron mag in the epsom salts etc. Doesnt make sense. Plants this far along won't benefit from nutes its litterly already cannibalizing.
But to each there own different strokes for different folks.
Like I said just research it yourself go with whats right.

  13. Wonder why cal mag instead of Epsom salts. That’s what he’s saying right? Use calmag in week 5 vs using Epsom salt? Or is he saying neither?

  14. It’s possible the plant is maturing fast, but I have video logs of the grow, so the date is accurate

  15. He is saying Cal Mag IF ANYHTING. I don't grow with bottles at the moment but I have.
Cal mag would be way easier to "flush" in 2 weeks then epsom salts. Epsom salts have a bunch of Macro and Micro nutes (Iron magnesium etc) that would not get out. Also it is SALT, Cal mag will have some salt and nutes but, not as much as epsom SALT. I think that is what sub means. Again I am an organic grower and so is Sub so take our opinions with a grain of salt lmao.
Like I said I would take note and do it next grow, bud looks good man and you don't want to compromise that imo cheers- Bugbudz

  16. Could be man but, those buds look real close. It looks more like cannibalization then deficiency. Get a jewlers loupe and check those trichs out. It really only looks a few days out no Bs... Good luck cheers - Bigbudz

  18. Also I should mention that I bought a NLA seed which turned out to be either photoperiod or it lost the genotype for being an auto. Perhaps it only has partial auto traits and it matured quicker than usual.

  19. Could just be more auto traits forsure. DEF looks more like week 5 to 6 in my opinion she's got some time forsure and ran a bit short on nutrients but looks great !.
Do some research from the breeder find out if they fucked up on the breeding, just keep an eye on those trichs.
Fire man good job cheers - Bigbudz

  20. That plant still has a way to go. I think youd be very disappointed if you cut it.
