  1. i mean damn, does anyone else know what is going on there? read the book of the prison escapee. crazy shit, crazy state, crazy class system.

    Cause it isn't.....

  3. Yeah man it's truly bad. At least they're not fighting with any other countries though. I really hope that doesn't happen because their military has probably been trained to be ruthless, selfless killing machines. I think eventually people will break through the censorship and access the internet and see what's out there. If that happens and they get affirmation of their government's lies and oppression, I don't think they will stand for it. I think no civilization would stand for it in the long run. This country has a government that can only be brought down if the people can see the truth behind propaganda. I think they actually enjoy a lot of support at the moment because people have just been indoctrinated into not only accepting it, but also praising and even worshipping it. If this nation goes to war with another nation, the results would probably be extremely horrendous. It can only be solved internally I think.

  4. Read up on their concentration camps. They sound like hell on earth. If I was send to a North Korean concentration camp and I couldn't find a way to escape, I'd try to kill myself as quickly as possible rather than exist like that.

I can't imagine the current regime in North Korea subsisting much longer. I feel a revolution is bound to break out in the near future. Vast portions of their people are impoverished and starving. They only obey and pretend to believe in the Cult of Personality so they and everyone they know don't end up in a concentration camp. They're going to demand basic human rights and a more open, free democratic society soon.

yeah dude its crazy. The whole country is brainwashed. They think Kim Jong Ill is a god who is a chess master, tennis, golf, every martial art master. Crazy claims that they all believe. Their president is actually dead but is still the president. He made it law so when he dies his was still "in office".

Plus they have some nukes, but they won't do it. No country will. If you nuke someone, it's already decided that you yourself will be nuked in retaliation. But what scares me is that they are not logical on that level and are crazy as hell with all that power in their hands. I wish their people would rise up create peace. (but they would just be massacred.)

I strongly doubt the North Korean people actually believe in the myths about the Kim family. They just don't dare question any of those outrageous stories because they live in fear.

here's the Vice guide to North Korea. A fun documentary which glosses over much of the horrors of life in North Korea, but it is still an informative look into their very closed-off society.

If there were special interests and oil in North Korea, we'd go and liberate their people.

    Libya has oil
    North Korea has???????????

There is an alleged group there called freedom youth league that is pro democracy and has defaced pictures of Kim Jong il and put up anti Kim messages under a bridge.

  8. They are still officially at war with South Korea. There was a ceaefire some 50-60 years ago, but they are still at war.

  9. On paper, yes.

  10. There are still gunfights going down. I would hate to be an American soldier patrollling the border North Korean Special Forces have actually kidnapped American Soldiers and gutted them withing ear shot of the American and South Korean sentries. So that you can here them scream. My buddy is in the Marines and specializes North Korea. He speaks the language has a top secret security clearance and lives in South Korea.

The things he's seen and read would make you shit your pants and throw up at the same time.

  11. I've actually done this before, it's unpleasant.

So there you have it THIS is why Vietnam was fought.

    MAJOR FUCK UP EDIT

I meant Korea, guys. I always mix up Korea and Vietnam

  13. Yeah there are instances of violence but there is no structural active warfare between the two Koreas. I never heard of anything like James said happening though, I thought it was basically just an eternal stand off. I do remember that maybe about two years year ago there were some rockets launched at an island or something. Either way there is definately a threat. There is just such deeply seated hatred. Look at this for instance. Be warned that it's graphic.

This mentality needs to change or the violence will eventually come to a destructive ending.

  14. Ditto.

Neutral grain spirits are bad news, man.

  15. I was thinking like bad Mexican food.
