Is anyone else wondering what the hell is the holdup with any progress with NC House Bill 983? In case you're not aware, a medical marijuana bill was filed in NC on 4/26/16. The bill passed a 1st reading on 4/28/16 and was referred to the Committee on Health that same day. It states that if favorable it will then go on to finance. No additional actions have been recorded since 4/28/16. Again, what's the holdup? People are suffering while NC politicians continue to drag their feet. Chances are the bill will never make it out of committee. If that's the case I wish they'd get on with it. The sad thing is that the next bill won't be filed until this one is concluded.
