  2. I would first look into your electric supply. You would probably be OK with a 400 watt light and some fans on the two outlets. You do not want to overload your breaker. There may be other outlets throughout the house including the outlet you want to use all on the same breaker. This could cause a trip in the breaker. You can set up a oscillating fan in the room with a exhaust fan pulling up the chimney. Put a carbon scrubber on the exhaust for cutting down smell. Get yourself a 400 watt light set up. I prefer MH for (bigger tomatoes!) Start off with something small and learn from your mistakes. Also read this forum inside and out!!!!!!!! And then read it agian. Good luck!

  3. well how many plants do you want to grow, if you want some serious bud this is what i would do. Buy or build a 4foot by 8 foot table about 6 inches deep, get 2 1000watt lights some really good ventilation. find out what is running off that breaker by flicking it off and seeing what else turns off outside the room. if it is already on a 20amp or more breaker then you will be fine if not run thicker wire into the room from teh fuse box and hook up a 20 amp breaker, if the wire is already as thick as other 20 amps on your breaker box then dont worry about it. 2 1000 watters will run about 17 amps that leaves lots of room for fans. Plant about 70 clones or fem seeds in the table with the two 1000 watters and reflectors above, you will want to oscilating fans, one in each corner a intake and exhaust fan that run over 300cfm to keep temps in control. also line the entire room with mylar or white 6mm poly build a shelf for the breakers and put ceramic bathroom type tiles on the shelf, they are more fire resistant than wood, get the wires all out of the way keep teh room clean. Veg until about 6 inches tall a 6 inche deep bed wont handle much more than that expect 12-18 inch plants when you harvest should only take 2.5 months or 10 weeks depending on strain and flowering time and if done right you will end up with around 2 pounds. I know a local grower who runs this exact setup with Kush pulls 1 pound per 1000w light harvests every 8 weeks, has clones and mothers in a seperate room. This is what i have just set up as well but a smaller deeper bed 2 lights more veg time and a 3.5x6 foot scrog with about 20 plants, i dont know what my harvest willbe like but we shall see. Goodluck with your new growroom if you dont have the money for a setup like this then just a small sea of green with 20 plants a 600 watter in a bed or 2 gal buckets have fun.

  4. If this is your first grow I'd recomend an easy layout. That way you may understand better what you're doin'. The more you understand the fastest you learn and get better. I found once via e-mule a video called 'stoned free' it's full of good advice for an easy start: type of soil, grow room design, etc. And then if you encounter any problems this forum is there for you. Also choose an easy grass to grow. If you try right away to get the same production as the very experienced growers from this site you might end up with nothing but a gigantic electric bill. Good luck.

  5. yeah gonzo is right, if its your first grow then buy a 400 watter, you can later use it for your mothers and grow a couple plants get a succesfull grow under your belt, but there is no reason you shouldnt succeed your first try with all teh info on teh net. Have fun growing man.
