Hello everyone, new grower for medical needs here and ive already made alot of mistakes but my plants are still alive amazingly. So some background. 2 weeks ago i planted 3 cheese and 3 master kush94.....only one of each popped and showed any promise.....a second cheese finally came up and has been struggling.....in the photos they will be as follows #4 master kush #6 cheese and #7 cheese....all of which were sprouted in coco pellets and have been lightly watered with a very dilute rhizotonic mix of about 1 to 10 and sometimes misted with a spray bottle tap water. As you can see they are super tiny for 2 weeks old and #4s head drooped down a few days ago and never lifted up again so its propped up right now so it gets full light. all the other plants are all auto flowers and are almost a week old, all sprouted in peat pellets. I have attempted to not over water and in so doing almost all the media dried completely out and they were looking really bad for a day or so until i watered them again and placed them in a humidity dome. Now they autoflowers are starting to stand up a bit straighter but all the plants seem extremely small for 1 to 2 weeks. Something else i did at first was run 24/0 lights and have since 2 days ago started 18/6 with the thought it might give them some rest and destress them a bit. Right now they are under only two 23 watt 2700k cfls but i have some 6500k on order and also some biobizz soil which they will all be transplanted i to 6 liter pots in a few days if they make it until then. So for all who are willing to share ideas or advice i thank you and would like to know what i can do differently or better right now and in the near future.....
Are you on well or city water and what is the ph? Very important. Be kind. Perfect your craft. Give more than you take. We are family.
Hi Mook.....the water is city and i dont have a ph meter yet.....i know bad preparation. I could give bottled water if you think that would be a good compromise until i get a meter. What do you think of the elements of the grow?
You have to ph that too, i've had bottled water come out at ph 8. They really all look just fine to me.
They look fine man. Id probably lower the lights a bit to help stretching. Ive been keeping my cfl super close to this plant (12 hours inside, 12 hours in sun) and its less than half an inch tall. Its about 8 days from seed. Keep in mind keeping them short lets them focus on root development instead of growth.
Try finding some bigger bulbs too. The one on the lefts 6500k 40 w & a 150 w equivalent. The one on the right is a 23 watt. You can tell the difference. They were only about $8 a pop at my local hardware store. ( the 40 watter)
thanks guys i appreciate it alot.....ill keep you posted. Im really hopjng once the 6500k and after the transplant into the final pots with decent soil theyll take off.
Keep up with the outside/indoor lights. No grow light in the world will produce better results then the sun
Garden Viking i would do that but i live in a prohibituon state and have nosey neighbors.....so ill have to take the performance hit for the sake of privacy....but i agree nothing beats real sun
I wanted to ask if i should order some mycorrhyzi to mix in or put in the dirt when i transplant ina couple days or if i sprayed some rhizotonic on the roots before planting would that be as good or better?
I wish I could grow cannabis butt unfortunately I cannot they look great though btw Sent from my SM-G920V using Grasscity Forum mobile app
right now i have them about six inches away.....i guesss thats about 12 or 13 cm? i have a fan blowing indirectly to help cool things a bit
and what is the deal with this droopy one??? the color looks good but its so damn tiny for an almost 2 week plant!!!!
Your plants look fine! You need to lower your Cfl's to about 1 to 2 inches away from the tops of your plants! 6 inches is to Far away from the tops of the plants. There looking for more light! I started out with Cfl's, and mine were half inch to an 1 1/2 inches away. You'll see the difference when the lights are closer!!! When your plants get a little older, I would try not to water the leaves, cause it's not good for the leaves if you spray them a lot! Right now it really won't do any harm. But when there older I would ditch the spray bottle, and use a jug. How are you Germinating your seeds? Did you buy from a well know seed bank like Nirvana or Seed King there are several good places to buy seeds! I had 100% in germinating my seeds using the paper towel method or put them in a glass of water. So how many didn't pop yet? Your doing fine I was the same way when I started my grow lol try not to over water them. Cause a lot of beginners over water. But it seems like your on the right path Good Luck with your Grow️ Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Robbie thanks.....i did as you said and lowered the lights. Im expecting some 6500k in the mail in a day or 2. I germed them in coco and peat pellets....the peat ines are doing bettr than the coco ones....i cant wait to transplant to good soil jn a cpl days.....i hope theyll do netter then.....
You're definitely on the right track just don't overthink anything! Just ask someone on here there's a lot of experience and knowledge on this site good luck with your grow!!! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
6 inches means theyre recieving about 10% of the light given off. Lower then down to 1-3 inches and youre getting more around the 70-90% usage of the light. Theyll stop stretching and focusing on their roots It seems like you already did that tho! How high wattage are those 6500k you ordered?
Those lights are not good I use them for my first grow it had nothing but problems if you're going to you CF out what you need to use these Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
