Just wanted to be sure I am not doing anything drastically wrong here... I know I am probably a bit late attempting to do this and should have started earlier but I think increasing the light to the most buds possible is always beneficial. Anyhow I have a couple plants that were growing up more than out so I started with them and then one more that was still just showing signs of flowers. The other 2 I am going to let grow natural for comparison sake when all is said and done. Anyhow let me know if there are any tips. I don't want to get into tying down every stem but just wanted to open up the underside for.more light this go around and try to have minimal stress on the plants. Next time I will start a little earlier and probably do a bit more, but for now I think the single bend will be all.
Didn't want to do that and stress them so much so late... Just trying to experiment a bit with minimal stress given they are autos and already preflowered and stretching.
Dont top. Start tying them over when they are smaller. I stake them right to the dirt. As the branches grow up I stake those right to the dirt and keep staking them as the grow and the same with all the new ones. Then eventually youll end up like
I will work on it and see how it goes, but I don't want to push it. I'm sure I will see the benefits of more light to these other nodes and with the next grow I'll start earlier as it will need to be kept well given it should be indoor.
You arent going to hurt it. Grab that stem where its bending and give it a good hard pinch and crush it and itll bend right over. It will heal itself within a few days and be even stronger.
Well I tried @Musicianized Pinched one and it split a little so now I am worried. Still holding itself up but I supported it with some wire anyhow... Seemed the stem cracked or split a bit vertically to allow the bend and that worries me. It was one of the healthiest and furthest along so hoping she bounces back. The rest are now all tied down and the ones I had yied earliest this morning are continuing like nothing even happened.
It will be fine man. That split will heal into a hard ball and make that stem even stronger. Look up "supercropping" I squish every branch on my plants.
I believe it. Just hoping not to stunt It too much. That is why I chose this one for a little more aggressive bending though. I'll update soon...
Yeah I’d go with supercropping lst too much why use ties and all this n that when all you gotta do is pop n bend Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
