    What temperature should it be outside before I plant my sprouts? I've done some browsing and can't find anything.

    Look for your last average frost date.

    Sprouts need shelter. If you are going to do the whole deal outside, wait until May. You can get a quicker start with a coldframe or some type of makeshift greenhouse. Check out OldPork's last grow thread for a good example or Dankohzee's for a indoor start example.
