Noob question...

  1. OK, I'm going to be retiring out of a certain military service due to medical reasons, and want to start growing. BUT, I don't really have a ton of money to spend on a grow setup. All that said, is it possible to grow maybe 1 or 2 plants in pots in the window? No lights, no room, just growing plants in quality soil in a window. A lady I know that is a big smoker said she does it and it usually turns out fine...

I know tons of noobs have probably posted this question, but I looked for a long time and couldn't find anything.

  3. I thing it might work for veging(there whould be a lot of streching)as for flowering I think you whould be out of luck but on the good side you can get 125 watt cfls from dr chronic .com for like 40 bucks each make shure to get the red ones that are made for flowering. also theres 400 watt hps from htgsupply for 140 with shipping

  4. you'll get a couple really stretched out plants if you do that... just go to a hardware store and get a couple of those ten dollar clamp on lamps with the shiny reflectors, then get a couple 125 watt cfls, and you should be golden. total cost prob shouldnt exceed $100. and use any houseplant ferts you have... i use cactus ferts and my plants are happy and healthy.

  5. A window does not provide enough hours of direct sun exposure per day. Plus the glass can filter the rays in unwanted ways.
