Noob question

That's called a chillum. It does have a bowl. You pack the bowl end. Put the other end up to your mouth. Light the weed and inhale Haha.
One of these was my first pipe actually.

Edit: the left side of both pictures is where your herb goes man.

 

yea its just a straight pipe as opposed to having a bowl at a right-angle to the mouthpiece.
you can just smoke them like a glass cigarette (kinda, not really, w/e)
but there's also the "traditional way" where you hold it in both hands or something
theres a few threads on it

Interesting.
How do you hold it with both hands and light it?
Don't really see how it would make a difference if you did it one way or the other.

Wrong. If you YouTube a video on how to smoke a chillum it'll help you out a lot! It's basically cupping your hands together to make a little chamber for smoke. I prefer it to lighting it like a cig..

Either or! Whichever way floats your boat! Never understood how to reverse layer the wig-wag pattern. I'd love to learn how to blow some simple chillums and spoons someday.
