This is my first grow and I have a few questions, mostly regarding odor control. I have 2 white widow plants that just entered flower last week using 2 17w flourescent tube lights. Every once in a while the smell in my room becomes quite noticeable and I'm wondering how much I'll have to worry about it becoming a problem. So far, I've used and required very minimal odor control - febreze and ozium spray. I live in a 3rd floor apartment and I'm mostly concerned about the smell that may reach the street in the future.
One thing is for sure, you don't want your whole apartment to smell like a grow-op. I'm doing a first grow too, but I'm only at week 3 of veg. She won't stink until flower, but from what I hear White Widow gets preeeettty skunky. If you're growing in a box, I suggest right away you hook up a DIY carbon filter to your ventilation system. Unloading half an aerosol container of febreeze every other day is defff not a viable plan to keep your grow stealthy.
