No Till Post Harvest

  1. 7C78B20C38CB_1626583888787.png This is my first grow 4x4 tent with a 46"x 46" raised bed. I have a single plant placed in the center of the bed. When it comes time to harvest i'm planning on cutting the stem right at soil level and leave the root mass in the bed. How long will it take for the roots to decompose? Can I immediately plant next to the previous stem or should i give it some time? Thanks

  2. Plant looks great. I’m planted into a pot with a rootball that was recently chopped, within a month. I’ll be interested in more informed opinions on it myself.

  4. I don't plan on breaking up the previous root system. Just questioning if I need to give it time to start decomposing. You see no issues with old roots decomposing as new roots grow around it?

  5. None at all. I routinely plug the new right next to the old. Within a month that old stem will be decayed enough to pull right out.

  7. It won't need pulling. It'll basically fall over when touched after 4-6 weeks IME. You'll wiggle it and it'll pop right out with just an inch below the ground intact.

  8. I plant the same day I chop. I chop them all down and hang them, then plant right on top of the old stem. Never been an issue.
