  2. Why do you want stretch? If you want a bigger plant veg it for about 4-5 weeks before flipping, if not flip the lights and be satisfied with the flowering stretch.

  3. It's not that I want loads of stretch, I was just slightly concerned that there was a problem

  4. "Stretching" usually refers to the doubling of size (in most cases) of the plant once it gets switched to a flowing light cycle. Your ladies look good for 16 days.

  5. Right ok, that picture is actually about 10 days, they are considerably bushier now but not getting much taller, will post a new pic later

  6. If you didn't have enough light your plants would have that tall lanky (stretch) look

  7. I have 600w over them at present, rising to 1200w when they go into flower

  8. Idk looks good though. Just embrace the no stretching while you can.

  9. I also have 7 THC bombs 6 weeks in veg they are a short bushy plant they say max hight is only 36 inches,Not streching is a good thing, they will stay kind of short,go see my thread 6 weeks no way on the flip for pictures, dont worry your girls are looking pretty good, they should start to strech a little once you start to flower, and they say these plants do even better when cloned,so if you dont have an aero cloner get or make one,it will be well worth it....

  10. Also..they need a good 8 to 10 weeks of veg before you flip to 12/12!!!

  11. 8 to 10 weeks?? Really? I was hopin to flip in a couple of weeks

  12. nope, mine are 6 weeks as of saturday and not ready to flip yet, trust me,it will be well worth the wait!!!!!go check out my pics of the same plants at 6 weeks...

How much vertical space do you have?

With 600 watts to veg with, those plant's look about right. Nice and compact tight nodes, stretching you won't really want to happen until you flip to 12/12. Depending on how much vertical space you have, and how much root space, you could definitely flip in a few weeks and get a nice harvest.

I vegged a papaya plant for 45-50 days (under 150 watts HPS), and just recently put it into flowering under 600 watts. I may have let it get a bit too large, as I'm having to really tie back the branches because they just explode with growth once the photo period changes. I've come to expect roughly 2x-3x the size from veg to flower, usually closer to 3x.

The longer the veg time, the quicker the plants seem to be able to start kicking into budding, but smaller plants that get switched over earlier tend to grow many times their size before budding.

If you want an example of the stretch from a small plant like yours, click on my sig, the first post shows what size I started 12/12 and you can see how much larger they got. I flowered all my plants at the size yours are now, not really any bigger.

  14. The height of the room is 2 metres, so I don't think I need to worry on that front. Do you recommend topping or not? If so, when?

  15. no need to top them, like I said max hight is only 60 to 90 cm"s 90 cm"s is 35 and a half inches, you have more that enough head space, just let them do there thing, the most you will have to do is snip off a few shaders her and there but dont over do it....

  16. This is how they're lookin now! Day 17 of veg
