So I have this plant that was pretty effin' stressed and is FINALLY reaching the last few weeks of flowering. I have noticed that the buds lack any real scent. There's virtually no odor. Now, if I rub the leaves and smell them it is whack strong. So, the question is this....if there is no smell on the bud is there a chance the potency might suck, if there even is any?
thats very possible I myself had one do that also it smelled like grapefruits real strongly and when i harvested it , the smell was gone and it had such a chlorafilish taste that it was hard to smoke and the high wasnt
Guess the only real way to tell would be to properly dry, cure the harvest Stressing the MJ really takes a toll but who can say in what areas with certainty Lets hope the smoke makes up for the stealth odor it had during growth
No relation. The strain I've been running for going on 2 years has zero smell until the chop. It is also a 3 hits is one too many smoke. The first time I ran it, the lack of smell concerned me too. Now, not having to worry about odor control at all makes life a lot easier. Wet
That's because you didn't dry/cure properly. Most new growers don't understand the importance of proper drying and curing. Drying must be SLOW. My goal when drying is to make it take 5 days at the minimum. Preferably 7 days drying and 14 days curing is about right to bring out the best taste.
Wish I knew. LOL They were gifted seeds with no name supplied. 3 fems and 1 male. All I know for sure is that they are pure or nearly pure Indica and all the plants had 3 fingered leaves. Been trying to figure out the strain for close to 2 years, based mainly on the 3 fingered deal, with no luck. Wet
make sure you're curing it thoroughly http://forum.grasscity.com/harvesting-processing-marijuana/424138-simple-harvest-cure-step-step.html
