No odor?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by tommylsantos, May 5, 2011.

  1. I've made edibles plenty of different times. I decarb first, then go into extracting everything into the butter. But today for some reason there is a faint to NO odor emitting from the cannabutter. Is there a reason for this? I did nothing different from my other batches. The only thing is, I used a little more water in the pot because its a bit wider than the normal pot I use.

Any info is greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm making Red Velvet Cupcakes.. Mm..

  2. i always found that if they smelled/tasted like shit they were the most affective.

    but every edible is different.

  3. I'm talking about when I am making the cannabutter, not the finished product.

  4. Did you use a strain that happens to be less stinky?... Sometimes some buds are less fragrant than others, I wouldn't worry about it. I've had butter of varying smells be the same potency. Strains vary.
