Once you realize that all political figures have fewer morals then the worst heroin junkie you start to see what is wrong with the political system. The biggest turds always float to the top of the septic tank. BNW
I’m beginning to not care anymore too. My state of SC is hopeless. And that includes education, opioids, domestic violence, murder up 51% in 5 years, divorce rates. It’s all in there. A firmly run red state too.
I would offer that who and how the state is run does make a difference. These situations that I cite are where we rank higher, or lower as the case may be, nationwide. Back when Colorado went legal, a conservative friend said “well, SC won’t be like Colorado” and I replied that he was damn right, just look at their rates of academic achievement vs us. It’s not even close. They were just arguing to keep mandatory sentences down in Columbia yesterday. It’s backwards brother, very much backwards. My county is dubbed “the 3rd world of the upstate” because our schools rank at the bottom of what is an already an awful system.
Sorry about the school system - I’ve never looked into that but the opiod thing, divorce, murder, crime, domestic violence - its everywhere from my experience. I’m sure some places are worse than others. j
I remember when I was in school many years back and we’ve had several people to move here from Michigan for various reasons. The people who transferred from there would do absolutely great, academically. I suppose that could be just random brilliant folks but I’m more inclined to think it’s due to them being well better prepared in the former years. Since I’m a product of these schools, I forget the exact stats but Colorado is top ten, 6th I think it was, while we just crack the top 40. And nobody is ever accounted for it. Love or hate him, Bush Jr had that school testing program and I have teacher friends who hated that and counties were applying for and getting exemptions. A good buddy of mine always said our motto was “thank god for Mississippi. They somehow are consistently lower.
I’d bet Maine ranks well up there too. And they have legal pot. VA will find out that pot doesn’t ruin places like the critics love to claim.
The way I look at the herb thing is we all gotta remember that its still brand new most everywhere. Yes, we have legal, recreational weed here in Maine - but its only been a couple of years. Big picture - its brand new everywhere and going extremely well. Many states are only a year or two into this but look at how good its going. I see everywhere being completely legal over the next several years - it’s inevitable. j
Indiana needs to move shit along too but high hopes for legal home grows or anything Sent from my SM-J727P using Tapatalk
