No more growth after trimming fan leaves?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Esco91, May 20, 2018.

  1. (2nd week of flower)

So my friend came over a few days ago and trimmed 90% of my fan leaves because he said they were blocking my bud sites from receiving light. Didn' seem to be a good idea, because now my plants are hardly growing. Will they recover?

  2. They’ll recover just fine. They need time to recover, that’s all. It’s like topping during veg, they slow down but they come back swinging better than ever.

  3. I hope so!!!! So for the future would it be OK to do what he did or would u choose to stay away from trimming fan leaves?

Also I'm curious to know what kind of bud return to expect from these 2 plants? Think I can get a Oz or 2?

  4. Stalled it watch for hermie next

  7. So in other words there is a possibiity she will hermie due to stress correct?

Would it be possible to get a Oz or 2 off these 2 plant?

  8. Hard to say on how much dried bud you’ll get. What strain is it? Is it an auto or photoperiod? Did you start from a seed or clone? If you started from seed, where did you get the seed(s), and do you know whose genetics they are?

Guessing, I’d say you might get 1/2 oz maybe more.

  9. Its a 80%-20% indica, jinx proof madcap strain, started from seed, vegged for about 3 weeks then in to flower. It' a photo seed. Hoping to get more then just a half Oz that' sad lol

  10. They are claiming 24% THC. That’s really high. Their website says medium to heavy yield for that strain. Maybe veg longer to get a higher yield. It’s not an Auto is it?

  11. Its not a auto no, I vegged for only 3 weeks and I'm leaving on Vaca in a few months. Wanted to harvest them before leaving. Not to mention I'm growing in a 2x2x4

  12. How many gallons is that pot? Hernies are possible but with it being so early in flower and it being leaf defoliation, I seriously doubt it will Hermie. It won’t hurt at all to keep on eye for any banana shape dicks coming out the plant. You can always pluck them out if needed. I’m gonna guess you’re going to end up with 2 zips wet. So maybe a ounce when dried.

Have you already thought about what way to go with drying?

  13. They are 3 gallon fabric pots. I actually have a grow joural going if you would like to follow. And I have no thought about which way I would like to dry . Any opinions ?

  14. Ahhh okay, if you’re training them the right way and getting everything in check...3-4 oz. I’ll check the journal out when I get home and can hop on my laptop.

  18. The one with veg and bloom switches?

  19. If it comes with switches for veg and bloom make sure your using both switches.

Your plant will be fine you have about 5-6 weeks of bloom left they’ll fatten up as long as you don’t overwater or over feed. Just Lifta ( leave it the fuck alone) you’ll see new growth make sure your light is between 12 and 18 inches from the top of your plants.
