  9. No enlightenment. No suffering. Makes sense, but then again, where would humanity be without enlightenment?

    I guess it depends on what enlightenment is. If we take it as 'having light upon you', then it certainly IS suffering - the consequences of too much exposure to UV light can be skin cancers and melanomas, which are renowned for being painful and even life threatening :D

    Or if we take it as 'having knowledge', then sure - knowledge and fact don't bend to the whims of human fancy, and they can be brutally abrasive against things which would bring comfort to us. I guess you just gotta keep your chin up, no? ;)
