The Legend of Zelda 1,2. I mean, what the Hell? Have you tried playing those games without a guide? What the Hell is an 8 year old supposed to do with that? Honorable mention: Missile Command for the Atari 2600. Not hard to play, but getting good enough to beat your own high score is tough.
