Night shift

  1. Sooo who else works night shifts and still stays up all day?

I do. Buuuuut I've been having some lovely bowls to come home to and that makes me sleep oh so well

Haha. I'm a baker & bake stuff for the next day... I work 11pm-5am or whatever times they give me.

  2. I will be going 2 nights once again here in a few weeks. I kinda enjoy it since there is no management there to hassle you. Not saying mine do but its a perk. I bag ice its a great summer job.

  3. Yeah I just barely met my manager and I've been there for going on 3 weeks now.

  4. I work nights 6PM to 6AM but I have a lot of downtime usually and I get to sleep in a bed or watch TV or whatever I need to do. That's the beauty of working on an ambulance. Earn money sleeping.

  5. Hmm, I also work the night shift (11-7) and I am also a baker... probably a little different than you though.. I mass produce bread.. its kinda disgusting but anyways nights aren't that bad.. I just blaze all night

  6. I work nights 3 days out of the week, 12AM-10AM. The other 3 days are in the afternoon sometime.

It's pretty chill. Not much to do but sit around and watch TV, and get meds ready for when the patients wake up. I work in a mental health facility.

  7. I have worked night shift before, but I definitely slept all day, that's why I hated it, night shift is a waste of life

  8. Isn't it weird that you both work night shift, both are bakers, and both have avatars of someone's eye? I find that a little too coincedental

  9. Disgusting? How so? I just hate having my hands be frozen from handling the frozen dough.

Lol I rather have that job, sounds easy

Yes! So very true! But lately since I've been getting up at 7 to take my boyfriend to work in the next town I've also been up all day but it's going to suck when I got in tonight.

What's that even suppose to mean? Seems like you're implying something.

And it is weird, but I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.

We both have the same amount of bars too. Surprised you didn't point that out as well.

  10. I haven't in years but I'm about to be again here soon. Just took a Supervisor position for a new night shift my company is starting up. I used to work, sleep all day, and stay up all night. I think I will do that again, screw daytime.

  11. You have a banginnn job

  12. Well we mix all the dough on site from scratch, so I see all of the chemicals and crap going into it... its pretty gross... most of the powdered ingredients you cant even pronounce... I personally work by the oven, loading bread pans all night and I see first hand how many bugs and insects and crap like that get baked into the loaves... its gross..
For the record its a Canadian wide bread company that I work for, we make all the "Dempsters" breads, like 60 000 loaves or so a shift.

  13. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. Some nights it seems like all my patients are awake, howling at the moon and screaming their lungs out (I work in the psychosis ward). Some of them get violent, and sedating somebody just to put them into a straight jacket isn't my idea of fun.

But I love my job...so it's all good

  14. bangin? Not really. It sucks actually. Especially since I'm so little. When my boss first saw me she said she was worried about me bc I am short and skinny, and no one else my size could do the job. Buuuut I guess I'm just a badass.

Fucking gross.... my bakery is clean, and the dough is already frozen and we get them in huge boxes... I work for a grocery store... so it's not like I bake tons of bread, but it's a lot

  15. Hmm... idk about all that haha... but the 1st part sounded good :p
