    I wish I could see this so Lauryn could destroy that girl.. too bad that will never happen because people like Nicki Minaj is the reason Lauryn Hill stopped making music.

    To me, Lauryn Hill is the best female artist in Hip Hop.

    I really dont know how Nicki Minaj got so big.

    There are better looking girls in Queens that sing and rap better than her anyday.

    It's disrespectful to Miss Hill to even put Nikki Minaj in the same sentence as her. Lauryn Hill was a true musician easily capable of changing the life of anyone who listens to her music, Nikki is a hustler and is whoring herself out the the rap game.

    Well not actually because of Nicki Minaj.. But she did quit because the terrible quality of music that other artists were putting out. I don't hate Nicki, I just choose not to listen to that garbage. Really the point of this thread was because I miss Lauryn Hill making music and wanted to show her a little appreciation.

    uncomparable as artists, Lauryn had everything great voice, good meaningful lyrics, fresh style. Nicki Minaj is just talking about money and copying the swagger of all of young money I really wish that Lauryn would say how she really feels about nicki

    she quit because she couldn't handle the fact of how huge she was bro. she fell under pressure. everything was going to fast for her....she quit because her own situation no one elses.

    lauryn was great.


    Nicki is cool for a female mc and doing her thing. I dont think lauryn would have put her down.

    Lauryn Hill was pretty good. But Nicki Minaj........... she's not even diverse as a rapper. So Lauryn Hill wins any day.

    Yeah I agree with what you're saying.. I think she also wanted to be normal again, be a mom, raise her family. I'm sure there were a number of reasons she left the industry, but around that time I noticed the quality of music declining so I guess I put the two together. I'm sure we can all agree that we love Lauryn though :smoke:
