sorry if this seems a silly question, but how important is the top plate on the NFT hydropoic systems and what is its purpose?
its to keeep the roots out of the light and create a certain amount of humidity to the roots. I cut holes in mine the same size of the rockwool, so the plant has direct contact with the feed. Not 100% sure if this is the correct way, but it works for me.
