the front page of the worcester, mass telegram & Gazette health section reads "Questioning-Marijuana myths" and its all about this kid who smoked since he was like 13 and when he was 20 she kicked him out of the house and made him go to rehab and all this bullshit....well none of this would have happened if it was legal and ok to smoke. but the point they sayd that really made me angry was this ....Dr Marvin Sepalla states "Marijuana use can also lead to arrested emotional development-for example, a 22 yr old who began smoking pot at age 13 will relate to society with an 8th grade point of view." This is what makes all the retards who know nothing about marijuana to just come out and say its bad and its goin to ruin your life and join the other million that dont know jack thats the biggest load of crap i have ever heard in my life and this newspaper will be burned in a matter of seconds now...

13 is young but I was 16 when I started so I can't say much. However, I know people who started young like that and to say that they relate to society with an 8th grade point of view is the biggest crock of shit that I've heard in a while...and I've heard some shit. That's taking away a lot from people by saying that and then by saying that without hard proof is just wrong because many people look at the media as their source for knowledge and when they are wrongly educated, it hurts more than just the one person who read the shit because Dumbass Dora who read it will spread it. That's the terrible thing about the news stations and newspapers these days....there's such a slant on the reporting that you have to take it all with a grain of salt. Then go out and research what they report and get the facts for yourself. It's sad IMO.
Most of my stoner friends are in college earning degrees. The reason I started was because, before I thought it would fuck me up and all and turn me into some mellow lazy slob that just sits around, but I found out that mostly all my parent's friends smoke, some of my friends smoke, and just a lot of people i know smoke, but they lead normal lives. Thats how I am, I lead a normal life, i'm studying well and shit, and everyweekend I get stoned, but it hell sure doesnt fuck up ur life like those stupid ass reporters make you think. And of course we all know georgebushdidcoke.
why don't you write a letter to the editor outlining any untrue points the made and why they're wrong. we all have to fight for the cause or we're just "druggies."
That is all you ever hear about marijuana though, once our newspapers had some bull crap like that in them, and it was full of lies, stating that its a very addictive drug.. wich is such a lie, i sent them a letter and some prooven facts about weed, and told them to cut the bull shit, but i never got a response..
you can't give up. Keep sending letters. Join your local NORML chapter or start one. Start sending in letters every month or every week. We're the ones trying to change something. We're the ones who have to be vigilant. We're the ones that have to keep trying to make other see through the disinformation spread by the government. Our local NORML chapter sends letters to all our congressman every couple months and we go out and get a bunch of people to sign more copies of the letters to be sent as well. If you flood politicians and the media with information, they can't ignore it forever. The newspaper may eventually print some of your writings just to get you to leave them alone. Or you may have sent your letter in when they had a whole bunch of other stuff to print. Just keep trying. Remember, the govt says we are druggies, burnouts, and dangers to society. Prove them wrong. Contribute by making our presence and views known.

most people are simply ignorant of the facts and have been lied to by other people who are ignorant of the facts. I believe the government doesn't keep pot illegal because of a malign intent. I think most of the people who are anti-pot have been lied to and are simply ignorant of the facts. I believe it's our duty to "spread the good word" and enlighten people.
I sent a letter to my newspaper like a week and a half ago. They never printed it though. I wasn't just attacking the war on drugs though, it had shit about the FDA, ATF, Welfare, Social Security, ...so I didn't figure they would print it...

you can't simply send in letters attacking everything against pot. The best way to do it is start sending in letters with a pro-pot message that focuses on one thing. The easiest thing to start with is medicinal marijuana. Also, writing about the number of people in jail for marijuana vs. violent crimes is a good one.
