  1. Looking to give this whole thing ago, been reading up on it for bout 7 months now and figure I would like to start a bagseed go around just to see what I can pull off. Preferably soil, and fluros but after that the skys the limit... Idea's for that space anyone? Thanks in advance.

  2. Well, just to give you some more detail and since no one was paying any attention anyways, heres and update. I think I'm going to idolize the idea of shelves for cloning once the time comes and in the second pic you can see a small hole in the wall on the left side im almost positive I'll be using that as ventilation after its made bigger. Other than that I'm still drawing a blank on how to utilize this space to the best of my abilitiy for a nice beginner grow any and all help would be appreciated, anything short of knocking down a wall and expainsion is probably cabable...

  3. Hard to tell what your dimentions are, but it looks like you obviously have plenty of height and are a big depth challenged. I'd make the top shelf area your veg space, with whatever fluoros will fit there. I'd use 4' T8 fluoros up top if you have the width, 2' if not - it looks like you could fit four up there, and that would be plenty for mothers and vegging. Below would be your flower area. Those long skinny spaces are a tough to flower in, since most people like to use one 600W or so, and one light doesn't light a rectangle very well, though you could do it. I'd still go HPS for flower, but with that space you might want 2x250W or a 250 and a 400 to spread out the light over the length of the closet.

  4. Sorry bout that...
    Dimensions are as follows;

  5. Not as deep as I thought, but same plan. Whatever arrangement of fluoros up top you want for vegging, and flower below. Being 12" deep is a problem though, so it would be better to space out a few smaller HPS lengthwise or put a 400 or 600 on a light mover like this one. A 400 on a 6ft mover seems best in that space, but you could just hang it with lesser results. You should expect 3-6oz per month growing perpetually this way, so if that'll do ya go for it. For now just plan out the veg area as it will be at least a month till you'll need a flowering spot.

  6. I'm noy sure I made it clear but it's the top left hand side that's 1' deep and the top right is the same 2.5' deep as the rest of the closet. But one more thing, you really think if igrew properly in that kind of space i could be putting out 3-6 oz every month year round?

  7. Oh I see that now, that's good news. That yield estimate would be even easier now. Don't expect it on your very first harvest, and it does depend on your talent as a gardener, but if you grow perpetually then within a few months your space will be established and you'll be pulling that easy.

    Plenty of ways to go about the flower space, but say you decided to constantly be flowering 12 plants down there, in various states of maturity. Even just harvesting a third (4) of them every month and replacing them with new clones would give you 4oz a month if you get 1oz per plant. One extreme (you wouldn't do it) would be to veg a single plant for so long that it fills your whole space by itself, 6ft wide by 2ft deep. Flower this monster for two or three months and you'd be disappointed if you didn't get half a pound. The range I gave is what I've seen most experienced growers settle into when growing for personal stash in soil. Obviously you need a system that works best for you, and that could take many different shapes, but coming up what works for you is a big part of the fun.

    Like I said your only goals right now are to fully plan your veg area - the flower area is probably a month or two away from being used if you're cloning. For bonus points you could plan your ventilation for the whole space, and work on light proofing the flower area while you're mastering the vegetative stage.

    For now all you need to know is where the veg and flower spaces will be. With the layout of the shelving as it is now, your only real choice is to veg in the top - but if you don't mind taking those out and dividing it up again you could split in in two left/right as well. If it were me I'd divide it top/bottom but the top area is a bit high for me to work at comfortably so I'd move the dividing shelf down a foot or two. The flowering area always works best on bottom since your huge bud-filled beasts will weigh at least 100lbs in that space.

    Sorry I had a little too much time this morning, I'll keep it shorter in the future and check in tomorrow.

  8. its really easy to put out a QP flowering 4 plants every 2 months.
