hey guys im about 2 weeks into my grow, my plants ar growing great under a 2 100 watt cfls, 3 25 wwatt cfls, and 150 watt hps, heat and ventlation not a problem. My question, i have 2 plants in a 1 gallon bucket with holes, and a full size coffe can. My medium is 1 part vermiculite 1 part pearlite 2 parts potting soil, how much should i water each? in liters preferably. and also whats the pros and cons on 24/7 lighting and 18/6 for veg? and also what is the shortest height i can 12/12? Kind of the SOG method.
hey dewd, I found that 24/0 worked best for me, but many people swear by 18/6, its totally up to you. The only advantage I could see from 18/6 was electricity bill was less, I had 1 plant on 18/6 and 1 plant on 24/0 and the plant on 24/0 grew better but thats just me As for water, I water every 3-5 days with about 1 liter of ph adjusted water. basically, as soon as you start to get run-off, stop
