Very first grow and with all my excitement to see it break through the soil I wanted to snap this picture. So I did get the picture...but...I dumped the cup of soil over while pulling my camera back!!!! So stupid!!! Luckily the root looked fine so I put the soil back in the cup and put a pencil hole in the dirt and dropped her (hopefully) back in the dirt really gently and covered her back up and put a few spoonfuls of water over top. I left the sucker leaves above the soil. I hope everything will work out but I just had my first lesson in this new journey!
How funny! I'm sure it will be fine. I've accidentally uprooted squash seedlings before, and they turned out well.
