Hello, I just started so any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are three plants. What happened and what should I do? I think the first two got over watered...hmm I have a 400W MH, temps around 77-83, the light is about 3 feet above.
look like mine did at 4 days dewd (we talking 4days from seed right?) give them a chance check the link in my sig and compare, im growing northern lights
Lol I wish, I over watered the first two I'm sure and =x the plants popped up 4 days ago...Are the first two recoverable? The stems seem like they stopped growing.
mine stopped for a day or two, but i was told to just leave them alone and not to water them for about 4-5 days i think. Thats what I'd say, but I'M JUST A NOOB so I'd wait for some more advice from the more experienced before making your mind up. Best of luck with your grow dewd
pic 3 maybe starting to burn pic 2 shows burn pic 1 is difficult to see it so blury, but if its dry and brownish anywhere on that plant, Id say the light is too much for them, this is asuming you havent given them any fertilizer
i dunno, the rockwool is above the water line, anyone know? i don't think it's burning...but i dunno ahh!!
You keep asking if it gets burnt even if it didnt reach the water, that must make me assume you have nutes in your water... Its a seedling, it doesnt need Nutes, it should be plain PH balanced water until the roots pop out of net pot, then you drop the level of the water to about an inch of the net pot and add your first solution of nuted water which is 1/2 strength. If its a bubble bucket get rid of any Wicks you have, its not needed the popping of the bubbles will keep the rockwool sufficiently moist providing you have your water level correct during the first stage of its growth, if not simply just water the rockwool a bit every day, you want the plant to go and search for water. personally i dont put the plant and rockwool into the grow rocks until i see roots coming out of the rockwool, at least that way i can tell whats going on. anyways get the nutes out of the water, its being burnt.
FUCK YEAH MAN, thank you for your advice! god damm, that wasn't so hard!!! ahh man, finally hahaha thank you so much =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D
Wish I read this advice when I started. The above advice you won't even find in a book or video. All they will say is 'read the label on your nutes'. My label says: 'Seedling: 300ppm" - wow was that a mistake. Good one GH. I hear people say to wait two weeks or basically wait till the 5th node formation to present nutes. Some say that some nutes at half strength are too much at this point. The guy at the hydro store said that if my PH gets above 6.1, my plants are going to fry. He was right. I should post some pictures to and start a grow journal to point out what happens when you don't PH your water properly (vinegar) and use nutes.
