there's a handy guide below, if you've got some time to read it...........at this point in time the light/watering is essential................good luck........ v v v v...................Peace out........Sid
They are alive thats a good start . Plant them in separate pots if they are not already. You don't need to keep them under glass at this stage. Use fluorescent or compact fluorescent lighting if you are not already and keep it as close to the plants as you can without burning them. I would add a fan blowing on the plants to make the stems stronger and dissipate heat. Other than that it's hard to tell without you giving more info, like lighting, soil, temperature, humidity etc. Cannot sex them this early either they need to preflower, which happens right before flowering (at least a month). Looks good to start though gluck. Gg
nice looking plants... stem looking strong... u have a fan on it?....... what type of lights u running..........
plants needs there own 3 or 5 gallon buckets so they can spread their roots... when u got 2 plant in a same bucket (when young is ok if u got the right distance) they start getting older and their roots starts to get tangle up, soon u will have to tranplant to a 3 or 5 gallon pot, and when these happens the roots will be all tangle up and u will have to cut them to separate then giveing them stress.... so is better to give the plant there own buckets.........
im getting some uvs 2nite so alls good i heard birth control pills are good mixed with water how often or when should i start useing them or use mirical grow boys?? jono
Ugh.. UVs are *BAD*... You should probably read up on the lighting faqs.. HPS, MH, CFLs or regular fluro lights (of the right spectrum) can all be good... normal household bulbs = bad UVs = bad halogen = bad infra-red bulbs = bad All in all.. Avoid those 4 (and probably others I've forgotten)
like he said, uv aint no good.. u want ethier a hps, mh, or flourecent..... i did the birth control pill, just knodest a different in the plant color... so i stop useing it.. if u gonna use it, keep us updated... fert, u can use a 10-10-10 or go organic.. plant seem to look more healthier when grown organic... for flowering u can get a fert with any number that the middle is higher then the other both like 10-20-10.. theres one that im useing that is 10-60-10 witch is giveing me really nice results...
i see i cant really afford any expensice bulbs or light set ups is their any cheap ways in buying a cheap light and setting it up under 40 quid thanks guys jono
Fluros are quite cheap. You can get Compact Fluro Lights for about ~£6/bulb - you could easily fit this bulb into a normal desktop lamp fixture. 2 or 3 of these would probably be enough for a small grow (though the more you get, the better!) If you go for 3, get 2x cool white bulb and 1x soft white bulb. That should keep the plants going for a bit. You could also try checking out ebay... some of the HPS lights are very reasonably priced. I'd go for hps rather than mh if you've not got much cash as the hps can be used throughout the growing cycle compared to the mh, which is only really effective during vegetative growth (of course, it does a DAMN good job during that phase). Edit: Don't post when you're drunk, Aekeron *scalds self*
Sweet as a nut i shall get my self sum of them..... mean while i shall keep posting pics 2 keep you lot in touch thanks for the help guys one more thing the end of my leafs are going whitey snow coulour is that ok its just the tips i think it mite be the 40w atifal lights i shall buy the ones u said but is it anything to worry about??? sweet jono
Hmm... I've not really heard of that happening? Do you have any pics of the white bits to show us? I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to happen..but as you say, it might be something you don't have to worry about I've only taken 12 plants from seedling to fully grown and 16 clones so I'm not exactly an expert anyhow..
thats still good! ive just got given two lights the pics are below will any of these two help on my quest of growing me plants take a look and recomend me on what ones should or shouldnt be used and why i have a very long about a 150cms long bulb set up 60 w snowy coulour if u can see,and a 500w floodlight halogen bulb setup have a look at the pics your understand better whats your advise? thanks jono
It's quite hard to say about the first light. It looks like a fluro.. so I'd guess it's probably okay. I'd reccomend buying a 'cool white' bulb for it though. They'll probably be available at most electronic or hydroponic stores near you.. Just that by itself won't be enough though really. The halogen is a no-no. The spectrum of light it gives off is near useless for plant growth and so you'll probably at the best do nothing for the plants and at the worst damage them in some way if you use it. When I say Compact Flurescents I mean this kind of thing: http://maplin.co.uk/Products/Module.asp?CartID=040922145701215&ModuleNo=27315&MR=N (assuming you're in the uk) Maplin only sells 'warm white' lights from what I remember though. You really could do with some 'cool whites' for your plants...
Nice one Thats a Big help fanks guys thats all to keep me going ill send some pics in to show you how thier getting on
If the first one is a flouresent then you should use that one....thats the one that I use and it works great
