Newb question

    Hey guys,

    Been smoking for a little while now and got a quick question with my situation. I don't currently own a pipe or bong but i do have a bill piece. I also have a perrier bottle (kinda like a 2L coke bottle) that I have been using in conjunction with my bill for the last like 5 months or so. Perhaps a stupid question, but am I in any harm using this plastic bottle? The bill is metal but the bottle is plastic and I've used it for about 5 months now. Just wondering if its ok to smoke like this or if i should try and invest in a real bong due to some toxins or whatever mixing with the smoke or something... Would prefer not to learn this the hard way.

    Help a newbie out?

    i would make a new one if you dont have the money for a bong. if you do have money though, you should consider getting a spoon. something convenient and safe for you no doubt.

    As long as the plastic dosen't heat up too much you'll be fine. I used to use plastic bottle bongs all the time back when I was broke.

    Dude, just remove all question and buy a spoon. Seriously, you've been smoking for a while now, and if you've got money for herb, you've got money for a spoon. Just do it. Ain't nothing like the purity of glass...

    My thoughts exactly. My first piece was an $8 pyrex glass spoon and I love it.
    It's worth the cash, and hits much better than some of the homemade stuff I've tried.

    Just as others have said, you definitely should buy a glass piece. Not all glass pieces are expensive - there are pieces that cost $6 at my local head shop. So head down to your local head shop one day and invest in a spoon or something. Trust me, you won't regret it.

    i used to use abottle all the time i never got sick or got ne toxins whatsoever (that i know of)
    but if your worried about it make a pipe or somthing
