Unfortunately NY isn't following in Colorado's footsteps and legalizing pot for recreational use but it is looking to become the 21st state to have medical marijuana, and that's a big deal. It's a big deal because our Governor when taking office vowed to never legalize pot for medical use but he's changing his tune. Again, unfortunately NY isn't following in California's footsteps and prescribing Maryjane for minor aches and pains but instead for those in serious pain with serious illness and diseases. Dispensaries won't become a reality either as the medical greenery will be distributed from hospitals so no patients will be growing their own from their closets but none the less this is a huge victory for those of us living in NY!
