Yep. Craigslist is good for so many things. Just be cautious about it all and don't let sketchy people screw ya over.

  8. Isnt that half the point of craigslist?

  9. NYS has anything you want.

    Concrete and glass cities.

Miles of hardwoods, softwood forests in the Adirondacks, great fishing, tons of lakes and streams, hunting, boating, fine waterfront dining, flat land, farm land, hills, mountains, take yer pik.

  20. I just moved from the capital region last year. I lived about a half an hour away from the Adirondacks. There is some beautiful property all over but taxes are extremely high. My parents have a house in a small city on like 1/8 of an acre and pay around $5,000 a year on property tax. Rural areas are cheaper but its still shitty. Then again if you're in Jersey it can't be much different.

I would recommend moving to a small town near the Albany/Schenectady area. You're close to some big cities that way but not close enough to be affected by gang violence or high taxes. Also make sure you check out the natural disaster situation. The city I lived in was always relatively safe but a lot of the surrounding areas flooded a few times in the last couple years (between Rotterdam and Canajoharie got hit pretty hard).
