New vape broken out of the box?

  1. Hey guys I've been a lurker on this forum for a long time now, and decided to finally make an account to ask this question.

I recently bought a desktop whip style vaporizer from my local head shop. I turned it on and set the temp, and first thing I noticed is there's no little blue light that turns on with it, which I'm not 100% sure is supposed to be there (it has no brand name on it, probably a knockoff brand). Anyway, I set the digital readout to 330 and let it sit for 10 mins. I briefly touched the heating element to see if it was getting warm, and it was too hot to touch, but I don't know if I'd call it 330 degrees... I got out my laser thermometer and tested the temp and the hottest temp I got anywhere on the heating element was 330. I turned them temp up to 510 (the highest) to test it out, and the highest temp I read out after 10 minutes was only 360. Was this just a faulty vape out of the box? Or is it not where the whip connects that I should be measuring heat?

  2. What vaporizer is it specifically?

  3. If you got a knock off then you cant expect much, the temps on those things are not accurate at all.
