New to this..need help w/ first buy

  1. Hey all! New to Grasscity..i sulk around here all the time but joined to ask which vaporizer is the best dummy proof device that $100-$150 can buy. Normally I google the crap out of everything and read threads in stoner forums that are closely related to my questions but my brain is tired..info overload. I want to try vaping but get hung up on all the different kinds and technicalities of it all. I'm completely unconcerned with how small or stealthy it is or whether it produces odor of any kind. The conduction/convection debate has me wondering if that should be a selling point, but I'm not looking for high winded novels about it - just, should I care, and if so, which is preferable and why? Also, I'm wondering how long it can be used between two tokers..can you get plenty of hits out of one session? Any suggestions/comments are welcome and extremely appreciated!

  2. Do you want desktop or portable?

  3. No preference really..im not sure I want to mess with batteries a lot, though, if that makes a difference.

  4. Alright then, I'll list you some desktops since they are my speciality. I don't really have a need for multiple portables and desktops are more fun I find.

Anyways, for $100 to $150 I would say you have really only two strong candidates to look at.

There's Da Buddah by 7th Floor vapes. This is essentially their budget line vape. I've found them as low as $150, but you may need to look a little. It's a very solid whip vape that can produce big clouds. It can also be hooked up to a bong for vapourbongin'.

There is also the Vapulation 2.0. This one is cool because even though it is a desktop, it also has a battery pack for mobile vaping and can be used with a car adapter. IT's also a whip vape and features an all glass pathway, so it will be very tasty. They have numerous packages online, just look at their website. I'd recommend them since their packages go comes with a good amount of accessories for usually between $125 and $150.

On second though, I'll mention the Lotus as well. Their fairly all inclusive package (I got it) is about $129. The Lotus is a portable, butane based vape. Check it out on youtube. Hits big, tastes great, and is very reliable and durable since the heater is a butane torch lighter.

There are numerous videos of all these vapes on youtube, so I'd check them out.

Also: their are the FuckCombustion classifieds that sell vapes. They are usually used and at great prices. Youtube anything on there you are interested in.

  5. I've read up on Da Buddha a little bit, and I'll definitely check the others out! Super helpful..thanks :)

  6. extreme q or the arizer solo

  7. Da Buddha would be my top suggestion. Check out log vapes, although I think you might have to dish out a little more cash for one of these bad boys.

Thanks! I was leaning hard toward the MFLB when I started out, then the Solo as I researched more, but I'm headed back toward Da Buddha with the ease of use issue. Thing is, my boyfriend is skeptical as all hell about vaping, and I want something that is effective and easy to transition to. Grateful for the suggestions.

  9.
You might also want to consider the Lotus along with their bong attachment.     I can't think of another vape that mimics smoking out of a bong than the Lotus setup.

  10. Arizer solo is a hell of a vaporizer for home and portable..the taste is best with it because of the glass vapor-path.

I love the Da Buddha, own one myself, but some of the taste does get lost with the whip-style vapes. That being said, the whip functions to cool the vapor off before it makes it to your mouth, which is pretty good.

  11. I've read about the Lotus too..that may be something to look harder into. Bongs, he's familiar with..he considers vaping some b.s. space age technology..lol He's convinced it doesn't work as well as pipes or paper. Truth be told, I'm intimidated, myself, but I like the idea of getting more bang for my buck as it dries out in this area alot, I want a healthier way to imbibe..BF is asthmatic, too, so I'd like to get him on board with this. I've read that the horizontal chamber on Da Buddha makes it a little tricky as opposed to the Solo..any truth to that?

  12. i have a da buddha and it is great. I also have the arizer solo which is a very good vape. You should look into the e-nano log style vape, it gives great hits and because it is a log style vape it uses considerably less weed than say the da buddha. It will definately be my next purchase lol

  13. Extreme Q or Da Buddha would be my 2 recommendations based on what you want to spend.

  14. I got da buddha and its nice... vaping also reduces the smell in my apt by quite a a lot, even if your boyfriends skeptical vaping is a good way to mix it up... i predominately smoke vape...especially the wake n bake...then later in the day ill change to my glass bats.... I seem to taste the greens even more out of the glass bat after mixing it up with the vape compared to smoking out of glass or dirty glass everyday ( altho i prefer my glass bat cause its easy to keep clean and get great rips )
