looking into possibly growing myself some plants, of course i came here, to Grasscity to get some tips and learn some tricks. i have already learned a lot from reading posts. i do have a few questions i'm sure i could find if i looked hard enough. one question being if i'm not about to jump into something major, is there a need to go all out on a ballast and bulbs? i heard from a friend that if your not undertaking a huge operation, those new "coiled" light bulbs will do the trick, i just need to get one with the right "colors" or "spectrum"... anyone know if that'll work and which lights would work the best?
