I'm new here too! Asheville is a great place, I live about 40 or so minutes away in Morganton and I'm always in Asheville when a band I like comes through. The people there are really nice... only thing is there's a lotta yuppies, trying to be part of the culture I guess, but they don't really affect anything.
Ashville is a great place, I go there to shop for things unable to buy here. I live above Maggie Valley and takes about (1) hr. to reach Ashville. Welcome to the neighborhood, how do u like the mtns? Peace
I used to live in charlotte nc, not too too far from asheville. if you're into the jam scene, there's a great band from asheville called toubab krewe.
