Well, since last night I can't access GC on my desktop at all. I am on my cell now with no issues. I flushed my DNS successfully about 6 or 7 times to no avail. I will ping, look at the addy, flush DNS, ping again and addy is the same and it just "request timed out". Says something to the effect of packets sent = 4, received = 0. Something like that. Unfortunately the site will not work for me.
Flushing DNS worked well. Sites back to normal speed. For you mac users out there to do this... Bring up Terminal Type dscacheutil -flushcache Hit enter Done Test connection.
still painfully slow. i don't have the patience for this anymore guess ill check again in a month or two.
I feel ya, I can't access the site at all from my home computer, only from my cell, which is less than ideal. Good luck!
Still slow. I have tried all suggestions so far, any new ones? I really miss GC, Im sad they broke it.
Flushed DNS after i read superjoint's post. Still no changes. I believe the problem is loading up images & all the different test boxes (which the entire site is made of ) -OSUB
Did the flushing,no change as far as i can see,still slow as hell sadly. Also noticed i don't get e-mails for new posts in subscribed threads anymore,just me or anybody else noticed the same?
I'm not understanding why the site is slow for a lot of people here, meanwhile I can't get on it at all. It just times out, everytime... so sad
Wow, guys...so sorry it is still running slow. From what I understand, things should be fixed soon. I know it is very frustrating. I was experiencing the same slowness for way too long and if I could have strangled the laptop, I'm sure it would have happened. Keep on reporting in this thread though...please.
Trust us , we not responding here doesn't mean we are working on this issue. We are fully focused on this and creating different plans to fix it.
Well well, on a good note I was surprised today to try the site and it seems to be working again on my desktop which is a huge relief. It's still a little slow at times but I am not complaining because at least I can get on now!! Cheers to whoever has been working on this
All seems to be good speed wise, but today (and only today so far) I've experienced a few 502 bad gateway errors, the last being about 4 or 5 minutes ago when I tried to post...is it just me? FF10.0.1 through TOR, and I've changed location, cleared cookies, and restarted with no change. No big deal as it's only happened a few times, but just thought I'd point it out... edit: Just got another one at 10:11:30pm EST...
