So I finally got some money together to buy some half way decent lighting. For a while, i was only using one bulb for all 4 of the plants. That definately did not work, so I decided to just invest in this and acutally make it worth my while. I bought four 120w CFLs for four plants. I have pics, and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanx
looks better than wehat you said you had. but my advice would just be to lower the lights, looks like alot of stretching. and i would put a small fan on them to strengthen the already stretched stalks. good luck man. cheers
I am willing to bet those bulbs are not 100+ watts each I am thinkin they are equivelent to 120 watts not actually 120 watts which means they are probably like 27 watts each am I right? Actual watts is watt you want not equivelent example These are only 26 watts each the 100 on the top means nothing! You want a minimum , 50 to 100 watts per plant (actual not equivalent)
Yea, the lights that i got are 27w of electrity. But where can I get the ACTUAL 100w bulbs? And if i do get those better lights, should i still lower the lamps, or leave them there?
if the light at the top of your plants is to hot for your hand, then its to hot for the plants, use a fan. usually you can put cfl's or fluoro tubes about 2-6 inches away, remember if to hot for hand to hot for plant
