Hello My fellow blades! You can skip most of this ramble! Well its been an interesting summer to say the least... and with that being said, certain conditions and stupid people sometimes limit our successes and the causality of it all turns into something awesome This summer (may 24th weekend) we (me & mom dukes) started out with zero plants, having just moved to a new place we were nervous and figured we'd give it a summer to all settle. Well it turns out we had some super cool neighbors who donated a few clones to the cause (I think he thought i was gunna steal his! kinda unthinkable to me but Ive learned my lesson in cropping other peoples shit and now just put energy into growing my own). So I was working with 5 clones and a few seeds(5) from Jamaica I had managed to sneak back and get started real quick. We're going into fall now and i have four left lol and a couple didnt get to their full potential cause i was forced by the mom to hide them in the trees, They are turning out half decent just not very large. So after much disappointment to the both of us, I've convinced her to let me take this OP inside!!! Start Here So here comes the fun part I have a cabinet roughly 4ft tall, 3ft wide and 1.5ft deep. I work at a garden center/small hydro supplier and I have aquired most of what I need from there. I'm gunna be trying some Northern Light Automatic (Northern Light Automatic) which is my personal favorite, not even kush for me can beat how NL makes me feel and some Royal Bluematic (Royal Bluematic). I've personally never heard of this seed company but the guy at the seed bank promised me 70% germination and they were a goo price so its hard to complain, just hope genetics are good. So heres the equipment so far I know i'll be using. I have: Cabinet - 4ft/3ft/1.5ft painted flat white, exterior paint (mylar is toooooo difficult to fit in tight space) ($15 @ Local Restore) 4 sunblaster t5ho 2ft 24W /w reflectors (6700K, Full Spec) (was gunna change bulb types in this but after a few consultations I'm only gunna change the larger bulbs as the SB t5ho is full spectrum and will do just fine the entire way) ($25 At garden center & hydro shop + $12 for each reflector) 2 125W 6700k W/ DIY Reflector for Veg ($50/Bulb no name, they work fine. $75 Sunblaster) 2 125W 2700K W/ DIY Reflector For flower ($50/Bulb no name, they work fine. $75 Sunblaster) 120mm AC Intake Fan ("aquired" from Gfs brothers pile of crap lol $30 roughly from sayal) 80MM AC Outtake fan (Might add second) ($10/ Fan Sayal Electronics) Small Speakers W/MP3 Player (Sounds funny but I'm a firm believer that plants love music) Ona Block ($12) General Organics - Grow/Bloom/Bloom Boost, CalMG etc. ($50/ "GO" Box) I have some regular fafard potting mix from the garden center i was debating on just mixing that with worm castings, bat guano etc to get a good mix but maybe spending the extra $15 on ProMix might be worth it?? Alright well as i think of things I'll add them, Let me know what you guys think, suggestions etc. Always open to new ideas! The cabinet should be ready to go by end of day tomorrow So i'll start taking pictures
Also I'd just like to say before people start throwing too many light suggestions my way, I had a difficult enough time explaining to the rents that CFLs won't use half the amount of electricity that a regular grow light would and it's literally gunna cost $50 or so to run a full cycle at aprox 300w, my mom thinks the cops are gunna kick the door in if we add a few dollars of electricity to the bill every month. So I'm happy to take cfl suggestions but otherwise guys your wasting the energy typing lol well consider this a very eco friendly grow lol
