It sticks to back of board then you make a hole thru it for screw. Keep that backing on it’s Sticky Push screw thru and line it up on sink. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk @ I love growing weed
I sold my old blurple for $100 today. I would have sold my HPS but... when I plugged it in, it wouldn't work. So I tried the MH bulb... same thing. Said ok to buddy, I ain't selling it like this, and I go back home. Get home, a)plug in the ballast first, b)plug in the lamp, u know it... smh. told my wife I sold her blurple today... girls r bitchy imma go hide in the grow room
There are two square pieces: one is like paperboard (came in envelope they mailed separately) the other is like rubber (came in box with bd and sink). I know how to attach them...what idon’t know is what the fucking order should be (vehemence aimed at hlg)! Is it qb, then paperboard, then rubber, then heatsink? Or some other fucking way?!!! @Soil2Coco did you receive both squares (paper and rubber)?
Shit, was planning to do some mapping tonight, but don’t want to melt that rubber on the wrong frigging part. Guess i’ll just go twist some rope...and smoke...
I have no idea what the paperboard could possibly be. Thermal pads are the rubbery peices and are the same material used on video cards to transfer heat from the memory chips and voltage regulators to a midplate (cooling plate). So its a similar concept as to what is going on here - the rubbery thermal pad more efficiently transfers the heat from the board to the heatsink. Ergo - I'm 99.9% certain no paper of any sort should be in that mix lol. I just got my qb96's in today and there were no paper inserts - only thermal pads for each one. I will note, however, that one thermal pad was grey - and the other was white. I haven't installed them yet but they are the same thickness so theoretically the same. Also - since I'm mounting mine on individual hangers/using individual 240 drivers - I decided to hang them with 4x pinchhooks through the 4 unused larger screw holes. Looks like it'll work perfectly. @Or_Gro Your the only one who got the cardboard Left over from trimming pads. Toss it?!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk @ I love growing weed
Here’s the lowdown: There are two types of thermal pads, if you get both, use one or the other per bd-sink combo: The rubber/silicone one you have to drill to put in bd screws; The papery one is self-adhesive, no screws necessary.
