new portable vape... what should I get?

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by whysguys, Jan 24, 2012.

  1. I want to get a portable vape... I dont want to spend a lot... and I want it to smell as little as possible. The absolute max I'd be willing to throw down is 50$ but I'd like one around 30. I already checked out the ones GC has and I thought that none of the products would really fit what I wanted.

looked into these, but when I used my friend's i burned it a little and a bunch of smoke came out, i also didn't feel as high as normal. What do you think?

^ The difference between these two would be great too ^

  2. still need some advice...

You cant be cheap buddy, To be honest those vapes you posted look like crap but thats just me.

I believe the cheapest Quality vape you can get is the MFLB (magic flight launch box) which runs $90-$120 depending on where you look. Alot of people stand by it and Ive tried it and it works great especially for a whole trench aka bowl of Keif!

  4. i have a N02 vape and it is fantastic!

  5. you want a vape gotta spend 150+.. wtith 30-50 get a glass pipe

  6. Your best bet on a solid vape for under $50 is the Vapor Genie (VG). It's basically a pipe with a separate screen/metal funnel attachment which you hover a flame over and pull into very gently. It has a learning curve but you can get some good vaporization out of those things.

Next up the price ladder but still reliable is the MFLB. You can get the bare box for $70 from Blissville and powerex 2400s+a cheap charger for $20-25, bringing it in at around $90-95 for a good starting setup. You can also go for a package deal but if you just want a functioning launch box it's often cheaper to buy the components separately. If you already have a rechargeable battery charger it's even cheaper. You can even strip energizers to use with the box, although they're a bit hot.

Definitely the vapor genie in your price range, anything else is going to be less reliable. (Unless it's a cheaper VG clone—conduction/electric vapes at these prices are going to be shit, and the VG is probably one of the most practical direct heat source vaporizers (as opposed to a lightbulb vape type deal).

  7. the cheapest vape I've seen other than a light bulb is the vapor bat... should keep you under the $30 line

  8. I have the vape2go version 2. Works pretty good. Turned down the flame a little so it wont combust the bud. Look for youtube reviews.

You get what you pay for! You will be sorely disappointed in anything you can get for $50 or less. Save up $100 and get the MFLB. If you aren't willing to spend money on a quality piece maybe you should reconsider buying a vaporizer at all and continue to waste money smoking your herb.
