Hi blades. I know to keep my pH pen in storage solution at all times. But when new in a blister pack, sitting on a retail shelf, the glass has no hydration. Doesn't this begin to degrade the meters functionality and accuracy? If so, purchasing a recently manufactured item would be somewhat important. What say you?
A possible reason is that dried-on nutes can damage/clog the probe, which isn't a problem if the probe has never touched nutes.
