    Can anyone let me know of some chilled out rap artists/songs/mixtapes that aren't gangster rap?

    Statik selektah just dropped an album called "what goes around"

    All the beats have a jazz influence, and he has a ridiculous amount of artists that are hot today on it.

    Joey badass, logic, action bronson, royce, black thought, jon connor, ab soul, and cj fly are the first ones that come to mind. Check it out

    It's not really gangster rap I like to call it reality rap but try out Starlito - Insomnia Addict..... Super slow and chill.

    Highly recommend blue scholars.. check out "Tommy Chong" and "sagaba" by them.. sagaba is probably one of the best modern rap songs I've heard. Enjoy. :)
