  1. Hello New Friends,
It feels good to finally join the forum. I've been growing for my wife and myself since 1987. First in Portland, OR, then in Astoria, OR and now retired and in Colorado. My carreer focus was the original "Green Industry", landscaping. I started in Golf course maintenance and operations, then corporate landscaping and site design. Traveled all over Oregon designing landscapes for a developer of Senoir Living and Assisted Living campuses. Most recently I have retired from owning my own Landscape Design practice for the past 18 years on the Oregon Coast.
I've been in Colorado for about a year and just finished the build out of my dream Grow room, it's my 3rd. I'm all in favor of being in compliance with the State and Local Regulations and designed for high production with fewer plants. Later I will post a journal on the design and build of the Grow that is in a 8'x12' shed. It has a bloom chamber, propagation nursery, organized storage, deep sink, work bench and tech stuff like pH dosing and wireless climate monitoring that is received in my home office. There's more too, super insulated, stealthy quiet ventilation system, heat and air conditioning. It will be a fun post. Look for it soon.
I keep great records and progress photos of my grows for the past 15 years and will work up a journal of the most recent for your review and welcomed comments.
Since moving to CO I am starved for Grow conversation and look forward to meeting all of you that want to chat with me. I can't wait to learn something from you folks. I also look forward to listening to your Grow problems and ponderings with hopes of providing assistance or some insight. I studied Botany and Horticulture in college, carry a Landscape Industry Certified classification and served as an Industry Expert on a State Landscape Regulatory Board for 7 years.
    Now let's grow.

  4. Hi I'm another old noobie. Just had to say when I went to Portland, the Columbia River Gorge was one of the most awesome places I've ever seen. I went to see a friend in Laurelhurst that owned Laurelthirst. Good beer out there too ha..

  5. Yes Portland is cool. Jorge Cervantes lived there as he wrote his first Marijuana Growing Bible back in the '80s. Growing back then was not easy. No real Grow stores. Few supplies dedicated to growing pot. I remember riding the bus to get supplies a the new indoor store in Portland so my car was not parked in front of the store. Hobby Growers were easy target for the Feds back then. Now it's legal in some states.
    Thanks for the Howdy.
