i just got my molino glass bong, and im fuckin stoked on it already. ordered from right here at the gc shop, and i must say remarkably good customer service, fast shipping, careful packaging, great product. model can be found here: Molino Premium Bong Line - 7mm - 40cm - White Logo - English - Grasscity.com 7mm borosilicate (pyrex) glass, and it shows. the first thing i noticed was that both the lip thickness and the volume-to-weight ratio are similar to my pyrex sauce pans, which have been dropped repeatedly over the course of about 8 years of heavy use, and still going strong. this bong feels solid, very wide base, very stable. as far as appearance, all i can say is this thing is classy. i didn't realize when i bought it, but the "molino" logo is actually embossed about 1/16 of an inch onto the tube, and then color etched. obviously a lot of work went into it. even my mom marveled at it, and said she would put flowers in it and put it on her mantle . i know anyone who reads this is waiting for the smoke report by now, but i haven't actually broken her in yet haha i was just so psyched i couldn't resist posting the finer points so far. smoke report coming soon tho. ...REAL soon.

man sorry about the delay, been a busy few days. i'll be posting pics as soon as possible, hopefully within a day or two, vids are a strong possibility . meanwhile, i've been hitting this bong nonstop for the past couple of days - the reason i haven't posted a smoke report sooner is that i picked up some dank the day after the bong arrived, and after a few bowls i was confused because i couldn't taste *anything* when i smoked. i was worried it was the bong somehow, robbing my smoke of flavor haha. but before i gave a bad review i wanted to be sure, so i scrounged up some shake in my last bag of "big bud," not remarkably tasty but a nice pine flavor. flavors came through remarkably well through the bong once i packed a bowl of some different stuff. turns out the dank i picked up is good stuff, but bizarrely has almost no smell or flavor. weirdest shit i've ever smoked.. got me high as a motherfucker but no taste whatsoever now for the bong: flavors ended up coming through really strong, in fact a little too strong. i have to change my water every time i pack a new bowl, or every hit comes through with bud flavors + bong water. a bit annoying, but it keeps me honest about keeping things clean the bowl itself is awesome. it's big; i packed it up all the way my first bowl without paying attention to how much was actually going in, and i ended up with a bowl that lasted me three separate sessions. i personally like big bowls as long as they don't continue to burn and waste bud after you pull out the slide, and this one works sublimely in that way. the bowl also has a good shape to it.. you don't have to fill it all the way up to get even roasting. since the first time i've only filled it about 1/4 - 1/3 full and it burns just fine. my only complaint about the bowl is the hole that goes into the stem is a little wider than i would like, so you have to be careful when packing to make sure nothing is falling through. so far it hasn't happened much, because the stem is two pieces and you can pack the bowl on a table or something until it gets nice and tight. no worries. the stem i think is my favorite part. the diffusers really seem to get the job done. the tube fills up fairly quickly, and it hits *hard*. i'm still adjusting to it actually, because i prefer to take medium sized hits instead of one enormous one, and it's even more confusing because when there's ice in there you can end up taking a monstrous hit without realizing it. all in all, so far I LOVE THIS PIECE. i haven't found any significant downsides to it so far, but believe me if i do, i'll post it. regardless of that, tho, what i got in this bong vs. what i paid for it is really the best part. huge bargain if you ask me. there really are no corners cut with this thing. all i can say is "7mm pyrex for $100." <--win.
Sounds really good so far, now i really cant wait for those pics and hopfully a few milk shots to go with it. Can you compare this with other beakers? if you've owned any other brands that is.
if you mean because of the bong water taste, i see where you're coming from but actually my water stays almost crystal clear. no idea how. either way, i'm perfectly content to just change out the water every day. ash catchers seem like they could be convenient, but to me it's just more stuff that could break. one of the reasons this particular bong appealed to me is because it's as basic as possible without losing anything vital to a supreme smoking experience . you've got your ice, diffused down stem, glass on glass, thick, reliable glass. absolutely love this thing, and totally recommend it to anyone who needs a simple, elegant-looking bong that lacks for nothing in terms of performance vs price. ..LOVE THIS THING.
I'm glad you like it that's one of the reasons I suggested a ashcatcher the other is it will make the hit alot smoother
No matter how much or how little glass you have it all has the same chance of breaking. Throwing an ashcatcher on a tube keeps it way cleaner and with no water in it can make the hits way tastier. Obviously with water though itll be a much smoother hit which can totally change a single chamber tube. If you get a j-hook/sherlock arm you also come out with a bubbler which is nice. K clips are a dream come true too. Theyll save your glass.
My only problem is the stem and bowl. Ironically, I love them! But they are anything but high quality. The bowls are the THINNEST of thin glass. If you flat level pack a hit, by the time you snap, the bowl is too hot to touch. The only way I get away with it atm is by sticking it in a 18.8>14.5 adapter. The stem 'hitting hard' is because they only have 6 holes, rather big holes. Again, I personally like the way these stems hit, as the bigger holes add some 'guts' to the hit compared to it being too 'hissy'. But I've always thought of these stems as really low quality. I only have 2, and one has a wobbly male and female joint. Hopefully the bowls are new and thicker, but from the pic they look the same. The glass can't be more than 2mm thick, it's paper thin. The tubes themselves look solid and great, they deserve a better stem and bowl setup.
