Ordered a mars hydro grow 300w full spec for this plant coming in soon. As for now the leaves are folding in as shown in this pic. This is only with the new leaves. All the old leaves are big flat and healthy. The new ones growing in are curling as shown in the pic what could be the issue causing this. I was watering every 3 days. I now water daily and allow small run off. I don't think watering is the issue. Maybe being rootbound ? I'm not sure. I did pick up a 5 gallon bucket and more fox farm ocean forest to transplant from the 1 gallon to the 5 gallon pot. I really need some input on why these leaves are curling in. This far into the grow I don't want to lose my plant.
Also wanted to add that room temps stay at 71F and I have a fan on the plant at all times. Today I watered it and Misted the leaves with a spray bottle as I read from my last reply the leaves curling as in the last reply pics is caused by humidity issues from what I read online from other sites. I still would like more feedback on this though. I have a humidity gauge coming in as well. Something I should of had from the get go.
Are you allowing the soil to dry in between watering? Sent from my Telephonic communication device using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I always let the soil dry between waterings. I stick my finger in it daily to see how wet or dry it is before I do any watering.
Another Month in the Plant is very big now compared to last month. But the bottom leaves look like this. Has for a few months but now some of the top new leaves are slowly starting to do the same. What would be the main cause of this. I know I don't over or underwater. I know its not a lighting issue. I run now since the start 2 63 true watt GE grow lamps and 4 23watt CFL's on this single plant at all angles. That in total should be more then enough light for one plant. I'm not sure if this is a ph issue or not. Anyone who is experienced with this issue feedback is greatly appreciated asap.
Okay another update with lots of images. As you can see the top of the plant looks nice. Bottom half not so much. The leaves on the bottom are curling in. Pretty sure this is a Ph Level issue. As for the brown leaves I know that was transplant shock from over a week ago where I xfered from a 1 gallon to a 5 gallon pot. She wasn't root bound but wasn't going to be long before it did get that way. I also spotted a gnat around the bucket flying and landing on the bucket. I still want second opinions from growers who have been around for a while as to why the bottom leaves are curling the way they are. Am I right is it because of Ph levels? could it also be the gnats?. This is my first plant and I want her to recover on the bottom half and not be ruined. The top looks so good compared to the bottom. I'm not even sure why there is gnats anyway. I never water until the top soil layer is completely dry about a inch down. So I never leave the top too moist Lots of images attach. Any diagnosis is greatly appreciated. Very much thanks in advanced. .
