New Growth Lime Green/yellow After Topping

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by z90808, Jun 4, 2013.

  1. so i topped my 4 week old blue dream plants and the new growth is lime green/yellow. i topped all of the main branches as it was outgrowing the little indoor space i am keeping them in until i move them outside in a couple weeks. i have been aggressivly feeding them every watering using Home Garden Soil A/B nutrients that i have used every year to grow. this is my second time growing this set of seeds so i was prepared to feed it it a lot after seeing all the defficiency in my last attempt with this same batch of seeds. im thinking it could be over feeding since all the mature tops are now gone so the new ones are getting over exposed to nutrients. the rest of the plant looks completely healthy though. or maybe its just becasue they are fresh tops. thoughts?

  2. We need all the info on your grow including:

What type of medium; soil or hydro?
What brand and type of soil?
    Indoors or outdoors?
    What strain?
    How old are the plants?
What type of lights and how many watts?
    How far from the lights?
What is your watering frequency and source of water?
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK?
What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro?
What are the temps and humidity in the room?
    What size pots?
    Any bugs? Look real close.
    Any other pertinent info?

If any of these questions have already been answered please disregard as I cut and paste this for everyone.

If there is leaf discoloration please TAKE PICTURES WITH ALL GROW LIGHTS OFF, ESPECIALLY HPS & LED's. Taking pictures and taking them with lights off, allows us to see what the leaf discoloration looks like.

  3. pretty much all the info is there. they are currently in a CFL setup until i move them outside. obviously soil. pH in between 6.5 and 7. im just wondering if i should flush it or wait it out.....

the pictures arent from under the grow lights.

i found another thread where the guy said he had the same thing happen to his blue dream and it was mag/sulphur defficiancy however it would be surprising to me that it all the sudden would appear only after chopping. i took off 4 tops from each plant and in teh process of cloning them and they are healthy as could be.

here is a picture of them a couple days before the topping

  4. You say you've been aggressively feeding them everyday? And, the ph is between 6.5 and 7, but is that run-off ph or simply the water ph going in... I need a run-off ph measurement so be able to diagnosis your issue.

  5. I feed every watering not every day. It ends up being every three days. The run off is what I measure. I'm going to give it some Epsom salt water and see what happens
