New grower

    Hi everyone and cheers for the help.

    ok my problem is I have just switched from T5 fluorescent lights to my HPS adjustable ballast. Plants were doing really well under fluorescent but now the new growth seems spindly, I have the ballast on 250 and the temp is about 26c. I did have it on 440 but the temp was going right up to 28c. I have also noticed the RH humidity has dropped, now it’s back down to 250 the humidity is about 46-49 I know this isn’t ideal for veg. Maybe I’m just worrying over nothing but the new growth doesn’t seem right and I wondered if the increase in temp and drop in humidity could do this. Many thanks

    i would think it was just the increase in wattage like if you move an indoor plant out into the sun you would want to keep it mostly shaded and gradually move it into the direct sunlight over a 3 day to a week span. I veg under t5's with eye hortilux power veg bulbs and switch to a flowering light with more wattage for flower. you should be fine after about a week or two everything should adjust.

    Do you think I should of kept it under the t5. I’m still in veg but was getting tricky with space. I have a dual spectrum HPS so should be good
