Okay first of all, Like Most people on here seem to be..I've been lurking on here for years never taking the time to register. Well today is the day =p Well okay so these Micro Grows seem to be One of the most stealth ways of growing. And that's what I've been waiting to hear! I'm not trying to make any profit from this just for the record.. ALright well i have a gutted PC case that i plan to use. just an average size mid tower i beleive? Okay now onto the questions. 1. Ive read Mylar is the best bet to go with...But all i could possibly get is a space blanket which isn't really good is it? Would aluminum foil work just as well? 2. Is there a certain place to get light sockets that plug into a power strip? 3. BAGSEED! I'm only trying to grow one plant. should i try to germinate a handful and hope for some females? grow all in the same pot until i can decipher the difference? 4. How can i wire computer fans to run? I've tried taking an old cellphone charger and splicing the positives and negatives together but didn't seem to spin. 5. With the 2700k CFL bulb be alright to use? This is my first grow. I'm looking for it to be educating and hopefully help me get to know what i'm smoking a little better. All help is much appreciated and I'm looking forward to getting to meet some people on here and Learning some knowledge from some PROS.
aluminum foil is a no go, don't use it Home depot has them for sure as well as Ace Hardware no grow them in small plastic cups if you must... you don't want to remove plants once their roots get intermixed make sure the volts are the same and you are connecting the right wires... yellow is a speed control just cut it off no you need 6500 and 2700.... 6500 is for veg and that would be mean 2700 is for flowering
Okay Around how many weeks would you be able to tell their sexes? And around how many bulbs for a single plant? both 6500 and 2700? And thank you very much for your fast response =]
Shoot for 100watts per sqaure feet min but there is some play - example my micro grow has 520 watts in a 4.1 square feet space and produces buds without anything give and the sexing totally depends on the strain and how quick you force flowering itself
Ive read that you can veg for a while,[month or so] jump to 12/12 to find out sex and then switch back to 18/6-24/0. But I guess it raises your chances for a hermie. Id say fastest way would be to 12/12 from seed? But then your compromising your yields unless you dont mind. =] I just recently planted a seed, about 35-40 days ago.... 12/12 from germ and I saw footballs and pistils [hermie so I tossed it] but that is a comparison for ya. =]
so would 12-12 work all the way to harvest? and im not so worried about yield for my first grow ya know just trying to get expierence =D
Same my first grow in my sig, check it out...Yeah bro 12/12 from seed will work, it will begin to flower the fastest. You can veg for as long or as little as you like as Ive read, it all depends on how big you want. I guess your supposed to expect a 2x size growth from veg...so just keep that in mind if height is gonna be an issue.
