New Grower Seeking Setup Help

    Hey all, on Oct.17/2018 growing cannabis will be legal in Canada. You can grow up to 4 plants at a time. 1 clone counts as a plant. I dont use cannabis currently but i am looking into using it for the CBD side of it (currently on anti-depressants for the last 2 years and my doctor wont allow me to try cannabis, i feel zombie-ish sometimes on the pills). I guess what im looking for is info on my setup idea, hear me out:
    a 10lx10wx8h Baby Barn for year round indoor growing, insulated as well. Was thinking of having 2 rooms 4lx4wx8h each, making the rooms out of 2 inch styrofoam sheeting so can change room size on demand if need be. 1 room for vegging and 1 room for flowering. ill be getting a carbon filter and 6inch inline fan running from the flower room and have a small filter pulling air from the veg room before being pushed outside, i can even get some ducting booster fans if needed. Each room will have osculating fans, temp/hum gauge and heat if needed and a filtered intake.

    So since the limit is 4 plants, i was thinking on starting with germinating 2 seeds and then veg them under the 2 T5 2ft 4bulbs HO 6500k lights (1 each) for 8 weeks while doing low stress training. When i move them over to the flowering room, i would cut 2 clones and put them in the veg room. Making my total amount of plants 4. And repeating. If 1 clone doesn't take, then 8 weeks later ill just take 2 from the last one living and flower 1 plant (which is ok with me, might be able to get a different strain or help a neighbor out since ill have 1 space open until harvest) for 8 weeks.

    So to simplify the questions i have ill list them below:
    Is 4lx4wx8h enough space for the 2 flowering plants?
    Is going 9-10 weeks veg and 9-10 weeks flowering better then 8 weeks each, since i have plant count limit but not size limits and if so will i need to make bigger rooms?
    What size light would i need to flower the 2 plants, 400's, 600's, 800's,1000's or what size LEDs?
    What height should i hang the HPS lights (depending on the wattage/size they are) or LED flowering panels?
    And most importantly, a good and reliable place to buy non-autoflowering feminized high CBD strain seeds?

    Edit: Also going to set it all up (without plants) for about 2 or 3 weeks, just to see temps and how to regulate it.

    Why do you need a carbon filter if its legal?

    @ElChoppo I don’t live in an area where you can leave your car doors unlocked if you get what I mean. So having the filter will hopefully keep neighbours in the dark.

    You can easily grow 4 plants in a 4 x 4 area.
    Depending on how vigorous your plants grow - 8-9 weeks veg isn't necessary. I veg for 5-6 weeks and usually yield around 24 oz. from 3-4 plants in a 4 x 4 tent.
    Size of the light is determined by room size not amount of plants. 50 watts per s/f of grow area is the general guideline for HID lights, and 35-40 watts per s/f for LED's. That's actual watts on the LED's not the bogus equivalent that the Chinese manufacturers tout. Beware.
    Most seedbanks carry feminized high CBD strains.

    Tell ur doc zoloft. And no fucking dr is telling me what i can take. I am now legal for pain meds and weed. Why? Because i didnt give up! I found a pain man that knows that weed wouldnt be a issue in any pharma issue. I go to Kaiser now wearing my weed shirts. Fuck u docs go do some research

    Make it a 5x10 actual grow area or 2 separate 5x5 closets. Use at least 1kw each and if you don’t scrog, use a few LEDs on the sides. If you grow a longer flowering time plant, like 12 weeks, you can veg 2 for 12 weeks. The day they go into flower, cut 2 clones, right after you chop the harvest plants down. A 12-13 week veg time will give you some massive plants if grown without soil. And you will never have more than 4 at a time and you can harvest 5 lbs every 12-13 weeks. That’s what I’d do anyway.

    To add to that, cut 4 clones and put 2 in a the clone box together. Double your chances of survival and cut the weakest after they start showing life again. They will still be one plant with 2 chances at life.

    Yeah, all I know is they count 1 clone as a plant. But I guess without roots it’s just a branch. And whatever ones took the fastest I’ll keep and toss the slower ones. Thanks for the info man. Much Love
