Hi All I am a new grower to the Indoor Scene. I am in need of help choosing the correct lights, fans etc for my indoor setup. Here is the info about the room, I will also attach some Pics. Hopefully someone can help me! i have a Spare bedroom with a closet that is 6' long x 3' wide x 6' high. I want to grow in the closet and have the rest of the room open. I am thinking a 400 or 600 watt Hps/Mh light would be great with some floor fans and pedestal fans to circulate the air. There is one window in the room which i am going to line with Film as well as the closet. There is a A/C vent and Return Vent in the room for added Temp control. What do you all recommend as far as plants i can grow in the closest and lighting. I am on a budget but want to get the most bang for my buck! As i grow and learn i will upgrade to bigger and better but want to start with 6-10 Ladies! Ty all for your help and here is the pics! Oh yea it will be a soil grow as well BTW! Each plant will have a 3-5 Gallon Grow bag that is Reflective as well!
Everything sounds good. If you can go with the hps opposed to the mh lights. The hps lights dont get as hot as the mh lights and wont burn ur ladies. Also if your looking for a good shop to order beans go to google and type in nirvana shop. They got good beans at good prices, takes a few weeks for them to get there but i had a friend who went through them. Also onestopseedshop.co.uk is the one i went through but other people say they are frauds but they didnt fraud me. As for the type it's whatever you'll prefer. When ur going indoors you have less problems you would outdoors
i have been doing a ton of research, so i dont have to switch between metal halide for Flowering and the Hps for Veg? i know the HPS is acceptable for both, but thought switch after the first 3-6 weeks depending on strain setup etc was the norm. But i would rather not have heat issues. do you think i need to do the whole can fan cardon scrubber? i am not worried about the Smell as its just me here and its half a block atleast to the next house, just a nice lil town, im fed up with paying others for Shake! i appreciate all your help! Would u do a 400 watt hps specs are (High Power 400-Watts HPS Bulb 50,000 Lumens High Output Color Temperature: 2,100k) Now that kit includes a MH as well. but i don't need to use it, and floor fans and a oscillating fan will be sufficient for my ladies to thicken there stems and harden them off? And awesome on the Beans as you can tell i have a rather extensive collection! Well ty again and am looking for a lil more help then i shall start my grow journal and you all can follow my progress. The Current Strains i have are, Ice, Power Plant, Sour Diesel, Aurora Indica , Super Skunk and Caramelicious to name a few. i am going to use some Big Bud Seeds i have just ass the are easy and have a large yield till i hone my indoor kills! What do you think about the 400 watt hps and no ventilation other then room A/C and Heat. BTW i did a test with 4 100 watt Spot lights in the closet over night for 18 hours and the temps did not go over 83, and humidity 38.5% and that is a consistent temp as i bought a hygrometer to test before i buy, also the doors will stay off Ty again, and yea nice sativa has me thinking and wanting to talk lmfao! ttys
You dont have too switch between the mh and the hps. Its up to you, im sure itd help in a way to offer a different color spectrum for the plant, but its not crucial you switch between them, If i were you i would just stick with the hps those lights are mad strong and are pretty much like the sun. Also throw a red plant bulb in there and a blue plant bulb in there. Those two colors help make the plant grow. If you dont have to worry about the smell then I wouldnt freak on having the carbon fan. The 400watt hps sounds amazing and ur girls are guna be in heaven. The fans are a must!!!!!! most people dont think about it, but the fans allow ur plant to be stronger, and to mover humidity around to help prevent mold. That should be another thing to look into and watch would be the humidity, maybe look into a humidifier since this is guna be in a closet.
Ty ElSeriousD! After a few days of work and ordering this is what the grow room looks like, it is 6' long, 4' wide and i can go 8' high. I used Panda film and Mylar tape to cover up stapes etc and run over the power cord for the HPS Light as some extra protection. what do you think? the lamp is 600 watts and will drop on the Yo Yo's to the floor i have 1 oscillating fan to blow on as well as vortex floor fan i am mounting inside the closet area with light on for 2 days and fans temp did not go over 75 Degrees even with it being 110 outside.
